Job Description

Job Title: FCAS 2023 Aerodynamics Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Aerodynamics Engineer to join our team at Sin nombre. As an Aerodynamics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing aerodynamic solutions for our FCAS 2023 program.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Aerodynamic Design: Design air vehicle external shapes and provide comprehensive aerodynamic models and data on performance, handling qualities, and loads in steady and unsteady mode.
  2. Optimization: Ensure that optimized aerodynamic solutions and data are delivered to customers on time, cost, and quality.
  3. Technology Development: Develop and maintain technologies, methods, and tools and skills, knowledge, and competencies relative to the Aerodynamics disciplines and all support activities or expertise required to meet the Programmes overall design and major components or systems integration needs throughout their life cycles.
  4. Project Delivery: Contribute to the achievement of all vehicle projects aerodynamic and flight performance requirements within prescribed time, cost, and quality objectives.
  5. Expertise Development: Develop expertise in the appropriate use of numerical and experimental aerodynamic prediction tools.
  6. Aerodynamic Technologies: Acquire and develop aerodynamic technologies in a manner consistent with the Company Strategy.
  7. Collaboration: Link with the external research community in the field of Aerodynamics and multi-disciplinary air vehicle design and optimization.
  8. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Link with all disciplines relevant for physics of flight, such as structures, loads, stability & control, mass properties, etc.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Educated to Master's degree level in Aerospace Engineering (PhD level in Aerospace Engineering will be valuable).
  2. Integrity and Confidence: Integrity and confidence to speak up.
  3. Learning Ability: Evident ability to learn and grow fast.
  4. Travel: Willingness to travel.
  5. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, disposition to work in groups.
  6. Analytical Skills: Good analytical capabilities, assertive and stress resilient.
  7. Aerodynamic Knowledge: Knowledge and experience in aerodynamic design and characterization will be valuable.
  8. Numerical Tools: Knowledge and experience in numerical aerodynamic prediction tools will be valuable.
  9. Fluid Dynamics: Knowledge and experience in fluid dynamics will be valuable.
  10. Wind Tunnel Testing: Knowledge and experience in wind tunnel testing will be valuable.
  11. CAD Tools: Knowledge and experience in CAD tools will be valuable.
  12. Language Skills: English advanced; Spanish will be valuable; German and/or French will be valuable.
