Job Title: Benefits Administrator - Mass Markets

Job Summary:

Mass Markets is seeking a highly skilled Benefits Administrator to join our team. As a Benefits Administrator, you will be responsible for the management and administration of employee group benefits programs within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Benefits Program Management: Administer all aspects of group benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Communication: Communicate group benefits options, changes, and updates to employees through various channels, including employee meetings, email communications, and online portals.
  • Employee Support: Provide guidance and assistance to employees regarding benefit options, eligibility criteria, coverage details, and enrollment procedures.
  • Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for benefit vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing group benefits programs, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee benefits elections, changes, and terminations in the HRIS or benefits administration system.
  • Reporting: Generate reports and analyze data to monitor benefit utilization, costs, and trends.
  • Employee Education: Conduct employee education sessions and workshops to promote awareness of available benefits and encourage participation.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of benefit policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in benefits administration, HR operations, or related roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Skills: Thorough understanding of group benefits programs, regulations, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in benefits administration software, HRIS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial transactions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and interact with vendors and stakeholders.
