Principal Process Engineer

Vèringer Ingeniería Avanzada is seeking a highly experienced Principal Process Engineer to lead the development of iron ore dry and wet beneficiation processes for a major mining project in Mauritania.
The project aims to produce high-grade direct reduction pellets from magnetite ore, utilizing conventional open-pit mining methods. The mine is expected to produce 10 million tons of pellets per year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement metallurgy and process design strategies, including key equipment selection and operating and maintenance philosophies.
- Oversee the preparation of front-end engineering design (FEED) process designs and process safety assessments.
- Ensure effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate process engineering with other design disciplines.
Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of combined operations/commissioning and engineering design experience.
- Minimum 10 years of engineering design experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in process engineering for studies and design.
- Excellent written and communication skills in English.
- Ability to travel to project sites for short-term and long-term assignments.
