Serra Hunter Programme Lecturer

The Generalitat De Catalunya is seeking highly qualified candidates for the Serra Hunter Programme, a prestigious academic position in Catalonia. As a tenure-eligible lecturer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our public universities.

We are looking for candidates with a strong background in sciences, life sciences, medical and health sciences, social sciences, engineering and architecture, and arts and humanities. Successful applicants will be hired by the university offering the position and are expected to cooperate with existing groups and/or develop new lines of research, complementary to those already in place.

• Conduct research and teach courses in your area of expertise
• Develop and implement new research projects and initiatives
• Collaborate with existing groups and develop new lines of research
• Participate in the academic and research life of the university

To be eligible for this position, candidates must hold a PhD and have an excellent record of publications in good venues in their fields. They should also have teaching experience and international exposure.

As a tenure-eligible lecturer, you will be offered a fixed-term full-time contract for a period of up to six years. At the end of the contract, the university undertakes a process to open a permanent position as associate professor provided that the candidate passes a positive evaluation. The annual starting salary is currently 37,553.42 euros for a lecturer and 41,438.62 euros for an associate professor, before taxes.
