Nordex Group is seeking a highly skilled Wind and Site Technician to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in developing and improving our wind tool, providing support during the tendering phase, and analyzing site-specific wind and climate conditions.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Analyze and understand site-specific wind and climate conditions to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Support the Tendering team during wind risks analysis to ensure the best outcome considering project constraints.
- Align with the engineering department to understand and define the right parameters for wind tool development.
- Calculate the wind impact on site during project execution outcomes and compare with the results obtained from the wind tool.
- Combine technical requirements and practical limitations to optimize wind risk performance.
- Identify and mitigate risks, and opportunities to improve the wind tool.
- Gather wind analysis from different sites and compare it with the wind tool.
- Implement and support corporate processes and tools, and develop locally required processes/tools across different regions.
- Report achievements, risks, and challenges on a regular basis.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in technical Engineering/Meteorology or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with wind tools.
- Competence in wind flow modeling and using relevant software such as WindPro, WAsP, or other comparable software.
- Experience with CFD codes.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large datasets.
- At least 3 years in a similar position/job.
- Experience in crane and transport in wind energy, including crane operations planning.
- High level of English is required; German is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, proactivity, and assertiveness.
- Able to work with multicultural teams.
