About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Social Media Executive to join our team at JD Sports Spain. As a key member of our marketing department, you will be responsible for delivering best-in-class content across our social media channels, driving engagement through community management, and taking a data-led approach to improve platform and content performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Continually monitor the success of ongoing social media marketing campaigns and activity.
  • Develop and implement a content strategy that aligns with our brand's overall marketing objectives.
  • Build and retain a loyal following across all social media channels, interacting with our social audience to drive community engagement and help strengthen their connection to the JD Sports brand.
  • Maintain and enhance online conversation through the creation of engaging content.
  • Work with the wider marketing team to develop integrated strategies that ensure social media is always at the heart of what we do.
  • Collaborate with the buying and merchandising team to ensure all relevant products are being promoted and showcased in the best way possible.
  • Develop tailored campaigns for JD Sports channels in collaboration with brands and third parties.
  • Carry out social initiatives and campaign ideas that will help drive social KPIs.
  • Take an immersive approach to all platforms and have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all facets of social media, including platform analytics and insights, audience data, trends, relevant paid media data, and the latest platform developments.
  • Work closely with the analytics team and take a data-led approach to social media.
  • Utilize tools such as Brandwatch and Buzzsumo to gain consumer insights, identify trends, target consumers, and report success.
  • Consistently moderate comments, replies, and DMs, escalating any customer complaints and enquiries.
  • Utilize and engage with all relevant talent, influencers, and user-generated content (UGC) content using the platforms and StoryStream.
  • Report back on any campaigns and competitions to show the benefits and coverage obtained.
  • Analyze commercial results for each campaign where necessary to showcase the benefits and value of social media to the wider business.
  • Work with the marketing, multichannel, and retail teams to ensure relevant and up-to-date content is being pushed out across all channels.
  • Continually monitor relevant competitors and inspiration sources to develop ideas and case studies, reporting these back to the wider team.
  • Continually monitor advances in social media and technology and share any interesting findings and points of interest to the wider team, to ensure JD Sports social channels are always capitalizing and are at the forefront of new advances.
  • Attend events and represent the business when necessary, ensuring the appropriate content is captured and uploaded for all relevant social platforms.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in social media and community management is essential.
  • Experience of scheduling and planning of social media.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative management and ideation.
  • The ability to work as part of a small team in a fast-moving environment.
  • A willingness to learn new skills.
  • Must be a team player, flexible, and ready to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to manage own workloads to set deadlines.
  • Experience dealing with customers.
  • Excellent grasp of sneaker knowledge is a distinct advantage.
  • Hold a valid driving license and passport and be prepared to travel throughout the UK and internationally.
