About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Steam Turbine Commissioning Specialist to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our global team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful commissioning and maintenance of our steam turbines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning and maintenance activities for steam turbines to ensure high-quality and safety standards.
  • Perform specialized engineer-level work in the field, including inspection and testing of turbine-related components and auxiliaries.
  • Provide recommendations to customers based on specifications and requirements.
  • Support planning and implementing commissioning activities, and coordinate installation activities with the Installation Supervisor/Site Manager.
  • Implement commissioning design changes and provide mark-ups for as-built project documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement of process/product/system design, and participate in internal review meetings.
  • Perform commissioning of turbines during cold and hot commissioning phases, including functional tests and logic interlocks verification and reports.
  • Effectively identify technical or schedule problems and take appropriate actions to resolve, including escalation of complex issues.
  • Provide expert advice and technical assistance to support staff and subordinate technicians of customers.
  • Perform measurements and compile records to document equipment condition and assure quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor/Master of Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, and Process) or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the relevant field of work.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, with work experience in the relevant field of work being a plus.
  • General profound understanding of technical equipment and ability to work with/based on technical documentation.
  • Good general skills in mechanical maintenance activities of power generation equipment or in the Oil & Gas industry, and willingness to continuously work hands-on under time pressure and in difficult conditions.
  • Experience in power plant operations and/or Oil & Gas operations and/or specific Siemens Gas or Steam turbine operations and maintenance know-how is an advantage.
  • Pro-active, problem-solving, and ready to work attitude, with readiness to take additional tasks to improve the status quo if needed.
  • Understanding of relevant industry standards for Quality and HSE.
  • Fluent in English Language (Written & Oral), with other languages being beneficial.
