Job Description

The Barcelona Supercomputing Center is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Operations Department as a High-Performance Computing Support Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve technical issues and provide assistance to users of the Spanish Supercomputing Network, ensuring efficient use of computational resources.
  • Collaborate with the User Support and Applications Consultant group to monitor and optimize application performance.
  • Develop new solutions to improve the user experience and automate incident resolution processes.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience:
    • Strong background in Linux systems and parallel programming models (MPI, OpenMP, threads).
    • Desirable knowledge of MySQL, Python, and Bash scripting.
  • Competences:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Good level of English language proficiency.
