Electrical Advisory Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Advisory Engineer to join our Transmission & Distribution Division. As a key member of our team, you will work on large-scale projects across the globe, providing technical, economic, and commercial expertise to our clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting due diligence on electrical infrastructure, including transmission and distribution networks, grid connections, and other related assets.
- Identifying project risks and developing mitigating measures to ensure successful project delivery.
- Developing and informing financial models of electrical infrastructure assets, including technical assumptions and cost estimates.
- Reviewing and appraising capital and operational expenditure plans for electrical infrastructure projects.
- Providing technical and advisory services to support the acquisition, reorganisation, or operation of electrical infrastructure businesses.
- Monitoring project progress and providing post-financial close construction and operation services.
- Preparing technical and advisory reports to support project decision-making.
You will work closely with our clients, managing project work and teams, and developing new business opportunities. This role can be based in the UK or Europe, with opportunities for international travel.
About YouWe are looking for a degree-qualified Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of post-graduate experience, preferably with Chartership status. You will have excellent report writing and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
You will also have:
- Sharp analytical skills and the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office and other economic and statistical packages.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and produce high-quality work under pressure.
- Preparedness to travel worldwide on short notice.
We are looking for candidates with:
- Experience in electrical infrastructure projects, including owner's engineer, lender's engineer, or similar roles.
- Knowledge of transaction finance mechanisms and project risk management.
- Commercial acumen and understanding of contract terms.
- Project management experience and ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proposal experience and ability to develop new business opportunities.
