About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Engineer to join our team at Air Liquide. As a CO2 Technology Expert, you will play a key role in developing solutions for CO2 capture, transportation, liquefaction, and handling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement technical solutions for CO2 capture, transportation, liquefaction, and handling.
  • Support business and projects teams in developing and executing projects related to CO2 capture, transportation, liquefaction, and handling.
  • Ensure that technical specifications and procedures associated with CO2 capture, transportation, liquefaction, and handling meet the necessary quality and completeness standards.
  • Interact with customers and stakeholders to provide technical expertise and support.
  • Acquire and analyze project and contractual contents related to process aspects and technical attachments.
  • Determine the best technology to meet project requirements in compliance with technical, contractual, economic, and company standards.
  • Participate in cost budget estimation, development of request for quotation, and technical discussions with technology providers.
  • Support risk assessment, clarify scope, and provide technical input to ensure a safe and reliable solution.
  • Provide support for or review the basic design and detailed design compliance with company rules and project specifications.
  • Support the procurement process by identifying, pre-selecting, and qualifying suppliers of particular equipment and packages.
  • Support the development of project schedules and manpower requirements.
  • Support operating teams and perform design validations.
  • Attend start-up and guarantee test-run of the unit.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of successful experience in oil & gas industry, OEMs, industrial gases companies, or Engineering companies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Specific knowledge of cryogenic and non-cryogenic applications related to CO2 capture, transportation, liquefaction, and handling, and related international standards.
  • Knowledge of process design methods and tools, familiar with process simulators software (ASPEN, Hysys, PROII, others).
  • Familiar with managing all aspects of process engineering design.
  • Fluency in English spoken and written.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience from leading RD&I projects.
  • Knowledge of other languages such as French or Spanish or Italian.
