About the Role:
Panda International is seeking a highly skilled Bioprocess Scientist to join our Innovation & Technology Development team in Barcelona, Spain. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a central role in designing new processes for the manufacturing of APIs, collaborating with partners and CROs, and leading laboratory trials for the development and optimization of biocatalytic transformations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new processes for the production of new pipeline APIs, ensuring compliance with GMP and Safety regulations.
- Lead laboratory research and oversee work performed by technicians, with a focus on biocatalytic transformations.
- Project plan and manage to achieve deadlines, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate enzymatic processes into overall drug development pipelines.
- Collaborate with partners and CROs, leveraging your deep understanding of technologies applied to drive innovation and process optimization.
- Monitor internal and external developments in the biocatalysis field, performing literature and IP searches to stay ahead of the competition.
Requirements:
- PhD in biocatalysis, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process development in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
- Deep understanding of enzyme technology, bioconversion, and enzyme purification techniques.
- Advanced level of English language (written and spoken).
- Knowledge of GMP.
- Foster strong collaborative relationships and demonstrate results-oriented, proactive, and team-oriented attitude.
