Role Responsibilities:
As a pivotal member of our development team, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality C/C++ code tailored for Ring Devices.
  • Exhibiting proactive communication and demonstrating technical leadership.
  • Designing and implementing real-time streaming protocols such as RTP/RTCP within embedded Linux and RTOS environments.
  • Optimizing video encoding and decoding processes across various hardware platforms.
  • Developing algorithms for bandwidth control and adaptive streaming.
  • Integrating with specific audio/video hardware and firmware interfaces.
  • Profiling and enhancing code for memory, CPU, and power efficiency.
  • Collaborating to troubleshoot streaming issues encountered in the field.

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in a mentoring or technical leadership role within an engineering team.
- Proven track record in leading architecture and design for both new and existing systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated experience in software and streaming development using C/C++, particularly in the embedded and IoT sectors.
- Field experience in creating high-performance, low-latency video streaming solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- In-depth knowledge of modern C/C++ programming languages and algorithm theory.
- Familiarity with Linux systems and RTOS operating system internals.
- Experience with video and audio encoding (AVC, HEVC, OPUS, etc.) and streaming technologies (WebRTC, RTP, RTSP, etc.).
- Understanding of network programming and related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS).
