About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to lead our HV Substation projects in Ireland, Sweden, Capetown, and Spain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring timely delivery, and managing budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Leverage electrical engineering principles to impact design and construction of HV substations or large-scale mechanical and electrical plants.
  • Effectively communicate with team members, senior management, and leadership to keep stakeholders informed about project progress.
  • Provide value engineering to reduce costs without compromising quality and reliability.
  • Negotiate easements and wayleaves with landowners, utilities, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee risk and change management throughout the project lifecycle.
About the Team

You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. We collaborate with people across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent engineering science.
  • 7+ years of recent experience in construction management of large, complex projects involving large-scale mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) plants.
  • General contractor and vendor management experience, including request for proposals, bidding, change orders, and contract administration.
