About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team at Amazon Data Services Spain, S. L. As a key member of our HV infrastructure team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of HV substations and transmission lines in Spain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project scope, timeline, and budget to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with general contractors and vendors to deliver high-quality project turn-overs.
  • Lead negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
  • Develop construction project scope and request for proposals.
  • Conduct construction submittal reviews and ensure quality control.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and record key metrics for team members and senior management.
  • Perform financial analysis of construction work, including change orders, purchase orders, and invoicing.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with 5+ years of recent experience in construction management of large, complex projects involving MEP plants. You should have a demonstrated understanding of electrical engineering principles, including breaker coordination studies and switch-gear sequence of operation. Additionally, you should have experience in contractor and vendor management, as well as direct experience related to the design and construction of HV substations or large-scale mechanical and electrical plants.
