As a key member of our Vegetable Seed business unit, you will be responsible for leading and executing project management in the genomics area.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Analyze and interpret results using bioinformatics and biostatistics tools, and present findings to internal stakeholders.
- Genomics Tool Support: Train and assure that all Biotech units and the Breeding team understand and correctly use genomics tools, including genetic mapping of traits, molecular breeding, and computational data analysis.
- Staying Up-to-Date: Stay informed with the latest trends in new breeding tools by keeping up with scientific literature and participating in internal and international scientific congresses.
- Education: Ph.D. in Plant Breeding, Genomics, Genetics, Plant Biotechnology, and/or Bioinformatics.
- Experience: Strong knowledge of genomics and quantitative genetics, experience in molecular biology and functional genomics, and knowledge in population genomics.
- Skills: Excellent understanding of bioinformatics tools, statistics, and experimental design principles, and good understanding of biotechnology tools and methods and their application in plant breeding.
- Language: English as a working language (written and verbal).
