Role and Department
Coty is seeking an exceptional individual to join its EMEA Logistics team as a Director of Transportation Operations. In this role, the successful candidate will lead the customer Go-to-Market transport operations within the EMEA region, working closely with Distribution Centers and Haulers to ensure extraordinary service and drive productivity.
Purpose of the Role
The Director of Transportation Operations will support the global logistics leadership team in executing strategic and operational plans, providing expertise in transportation, and interfacing with Coty's Customer Service, DC Operations, and Customs teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and managing projects that deliver added value to the business in terms of financial, service, safety, and sustainability.
- Tracking and tracing initiatives, implementing controlling mechanisms, and creating visibility of status, gaps, and results to the logistics leadership team.
- Developing relationships with divisional supply chain leads, the planning community, the Global Transport and Customs team, Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Coty IT.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the operational transportation team for EMEA road transportation in Continental Europe, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the Middle East, ensuring flows to customers and Customization centers.
- Managing core transportation metrics in service, cost, and key foundational systems such as quality, safety, security, and sustainability.
- Driving a total end-to-end approach to optimize performance for the company, monitoring and driving improvement of transportation KPIs within the strategic and governance framework set by central Amsterdam regional logistics.
- Managing the relationship with the Global Transport and 4PL to ensure proper execution of the domestic control tower performance for EMEA road freight.
