Job Summary

Instinct is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Partnership Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our business development team, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing and expanding our partnerships with key accounts to drive revenue, contribution margin, and market share growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Execute Strategic Plans: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute annual sales and operational plans that align with customer revenue and investment plans.
  2. Negotiate Key Agreements: Negotiate annual terms with key accounts to align with Instinct's business objectives.
  3. Manage Day-to-Day Execution: Manage the day-to-day execution of joint business plans, including forecasting baseline sales and impact of innovation, assessing and optimizing customer investment to achieve sales targets.
  4. Build and Maintain Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key account cross-functional partners, serving as the primary Instinct point-of-contact for the key account business.
  5. Identify New Business Opportunities: Translate market trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights to identify new business opportunities and actionable strategies.
  6. Collaborate with Retail Marketing: Collaborate with Retail Marketing to support and secure customer engagement toward aligned 6P brand activation strategies across all consumer touchpoints.
  7. Partner with Finance & Accounting: Partner with Finance & Accounting to manage customer budgets and P&L, track progress towards key performance indicators.
  8. Lead Sales Channel Partnerships: Serve as the sales channel lead partner on sales and operations planning process to ensure optimal fill rate and in-stock positions.
Requirements
  1. 5+ Years of Experience: 5+ years of related work experience in CPG sales, account, or category management.
  2. Business Acumen: Experience managing P&L/business levers, budgets, and driving towards key performance indicators.
  3. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, using data to make sound recommendations affecting business decisions and results.
  4. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify opportunities and connect all data points, a natural problem solver with an ability to anticipate risks and identify options to effectively mitigate.
  5. Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel for customer meetings and HQ quarterly meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. 4-Year Bachelor's Degree: 4-year bachelor's degree in a related field.
  2. Negotiation and Category Management Experience: Experience in negotiation (customer contracts, annual terms) and category management (pricing, assortment, and market share analysis).
