Job Responsibilities- Involved in all phases of the software development cycle, from design, implementation and unit testing of a commercial web-based scientific software product, being part of an international multi-site team.
- Work with other team members to deliver complete and high quality software products to customers, according to schedules and specifications.
- Creation of documentation and other artifacts needed to support our quality system. Documents may include specifications, architecture diagrams or design documents.
- Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies including daily standups, planning, product demonstration and review meetings.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalently technical fields
- 0 to 2 year of software development experience in required technology
- Experience with developing technical specifications based on customer requirements
- Experience with Web Development technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Experience with Configuration Management tools
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies (Scrum)
- Knowledge of code version control tool (Git preferably)
- Be a strong team player
- Have strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills (Spanish and English)
- Be able to step up when situation demands such as meeting deadlines
- Be performance driven, highly motivated to face challenges
- Understanding of science principles and methodologies
- Experience with databases, persistence frameworks, and SQL
