The Finance FunctionThe Finance Team at Wella is responsible for delivering an effective finance support service to the business. This involves providing timely and accurate reporting and business information to strengthen decision-making. Our financial control framework is designed to facilitate improvements in the business, promote the management of financial risk, and meet increasing statutory and regulatory requirements.
The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team in Iberia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the finance custodian organization for the entities in scope, ensuring financial results are reported timely and in compliance with Group and statutory requirements. The Financial Controller will manage a small Madrid-based team in coordination with a larger SSC-based team to provide accurate, reliable, cost-effective, and timely financial information to assist management in decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the financial recording and advise the business on accounting matters.
- Ensure external and internal reporting requirements (US GAAP / Local GAAP) are met, as well as tax compliance.
- Manage the Corporate Governance of the Country, internal and external audit, and statutory and financial statement preparation and filing.
- Act as the Accounts Payable and Corporate Cards single point of contact in Iberia.
- Prepare the weekly mid-term treasury forecast of the entities in scope.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, with experience in financial reporting, accounting, and tax compliance. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Financial Controller will be responsible for creating and maintaining clear insights into the nature and background of all financial reporting for the Professional and Retail Beauty businesses in Iberia.
