Supply Chain Specialist

The Specialist Supply & Inventory plays a crucial role in maximizing business revenues against minimal costs and working capital by matching demand with supply capabilities, ensuring an uninterrupted Order to Cash/Purchase to Pay process. This position is responsible for securing supply capabilities, including feedstock, plant capability, stock levels, transport, and material handling capacity.
Key Responsibilities:- Guarantee ATP (available to promise) for the BU based on S&OP agreed figures.
- Create optimal value scenarios for SABIC and enable strategic/tactical decision making with conflicting interests by preparing and acting as a key player in the S&OP process of the region.
- Prepare input for the Sales & Operation Planning meetings and maximize damage control by preparing and participating in exceptional S&OP in case of supply/demand anomalies.
- Execute the integrated optimization of multi-site assets, leading compared to local optimization of his/her own site.
- Draw up long-term supply budgets (5-year rolling plans).
- Co-chair the Weekly Optimization Meetings and Product Flow Meetings.
- Identify possible bottlenecks in the supply chain by performing rough-cut capacity planning for logistics assets.
- Define and implement optimal stock levels based on agreed service levels for the overall chain.
- Continuous improvement of the planning process (business process redesign projects, pre-marketing/insourced materials).
- Maintain planning-related master data (including system design of integrated planning tools).
- Execute LP optimization tools (e.g., PIMS).
- Minimize business impact of plant downtime across sites.
