Job DescriptionAs a Platform Software Engineer 4 at Nexthink, you will be part of a small team of diverse and experienced engineers who have full ownership of their domains, from requirements gathering and design phase to implementation, validation, and deployment. You will work with Architecture, Product Engineering, and Security teams to design, develop, and evolve the Data Infrastructure, following modern cloud-native best practices.
Responsibilities:- Design and develop the Data Infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a self-service internal development platform with modern technologies and best practices.
- Contribute to Nexthink's tooling and automation frameworks for provisioning and scaling the infrastructure, with a focus on resiliency and elasticity strategies.
- Handle operational aspects of the infrastructure, including monitoring, observability, operational reliability, incident management, and on-call responsibilities.
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer with knowledge of professional software development best practices.
- Experience with distributed systems, streaming technologies, and database cluster deployment.
- Expertise in operating services on Linux systems, container technologies, and cloud-based platforms.
- Good knowledge of monitoring solutions and programming languages such as Go, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, and/or Bash.
