About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Innovation Manager to join our team at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR). As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and research in the biomedical field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of projects in the valorization phase, ensuring timely completion and successful outcomes.
  • Evaluate the feasibility of new innovation projects and develop strategies for project development and asset protection, including intellectual property strategy, business model definition, regulatory roadmap, financial projections, and team structure definition.
  • Negotiate with companies and partners to advance innovation projects and secure funding opportunities.
  • Design and implement business models that drive growth and revenue.
  • Identify and promote collaboration and financing opportunities that align with VHIR's research goals.
  • Collaborate with the research community to raise awareness of VHIR's innovation initiatives.
  • Participate in events and networking activities within the sector and area of specialty.
  • Contribute to the implementation of requirements established by the Innovation Management System according to UNE regulation.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in managing projects in Knowledge Transfer Departments or healthcare initiatives.
  • Knowledge of agents of innovation systems within the biomedical research environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare innovation international ecosystems.
  • Good level of Catalan, Spanish, and English, both written and spoken.
