We are seeking a highly skilled Design Systems Specialist to join our team at Dow Jones. As a key member of our Design Systems team, you will play a critical role in creating and maintaining our design ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop reusable components and patterns for our design system.
- Work closely with Experience Architects and Experience Designers to ensure consistency and coherence in our design language.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for our design system, including component libraries, guidelines, and templates.
- Contribute to the creation of visual patterns and design principles that align with our brand and user experience goals.
- Participate in user testing and validation to ensure our design solutions meet accessibility and usability standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging design trends to inform our design decisions.
Requirements:
- Minimum 0-1 years of experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of UI, HCI, and UX principles.
- Experience with component-based design and design systems.
- Proficiency in Figma and other design tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the design of news or financial services.
- Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards and compliance.
