About Our ClientOur client is a leading global mining company with advanced metallurgical products, serving diverse industries including energy, technology, healthcare, and aerospace. With 25 operating sites worldwide, they combine state-of-the-art technology, reliable raw materials, and exceptional customer service to deliver best-in-class quality and innovation.
Job OpportunityWe are seeking recently graduated Engineers to join their International Graduate Engineers Program. This 21-month program offers a unique opportunity to work within a global structure and gain comprehensive experience across various engineering fields within the company. You will relocate to Canada, the US, or South Africa within the scope of the program.
Program ScopeThe program consists of two years, divided into two phases. In the first year, you will undergo a home base onboarding, followed by an international assignment to one of our operating sites. You will also participate in job rotations, project delivery, and tech innovation projects. In the second year, you will continue your international assignment, participate in job rotations, and complete the program.
Responsibilities- Work closely with personnel at all levels to become a subject matter expert in departmental products and processes.
- Install and maintain system BOM's & Routers for all products.
- Support projects to develop new products and/or processes.
- Participate in the APQP process, approving new products and processes.
- Support modification of processes and products.
- Plan and supervise statistical process control.
- Work together with peers and customers.
- Engage and lead lean manufacturing activities.
- Generate and execute continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain documented standards systems.
- Develop and conduct technical training.
- Assume a leading role in process improvement and coordinate quality and cost-reduction efforts.
- Bachelor's / Masters degree in engineering (mining, mechanical, electrical, metallurgical).
- Fluent English (French and Spanish is a plus).
- International mindset or eagerness to be a citizen of the world.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across varying departments.
- Six sigma, lean manufacturing, or 5S training or experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience with quality systems and process optimization is a plus.
- A first successful experience in an industrial environment is a plus.
