About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers by commissioning and testing various systems, including power, HVAC, and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commission and test medium and low voltage power systems, generators, UPS, HVAC, chilled water systems, building management systems, and electrical power monitoring systems.
  • Provide multi-discipline input into project scheduling, test script development, designing, and planning.
  • Review component submittal packages, lead factory witness testing, and perform system-level and integrated system testing.
  • Audit activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Develop and execute test procedures for mechanical or electrical systems/components based on design intent and approved equipment submittals.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience directly related to mission-critical facilities or data center infrastructure, Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • 5+ years of commissioning experience.
  • Certification or training specific to NETA, ASHRAE, or Commissioning specific education courses.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally for up to 30% of the time.
  • Competent in both spoken and written Spanish and English.
