About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Energy Lawyer to join our Legal Department in Madrid. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for drafting and reviewing renewable energy project contracts, negotiating with contractors and suppliers, and providing legal advice to ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and reviewing renewable energy project contracts, including EPC, O&M, Asset Management, PPAs, lease agreements, and supply & service agreements.
  • Negotiating, mediating, and settling disputes between contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Providing legal advice on M&A transactions and ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.
  • Managing relationships with external advisers and collaborating with the legal team to provide advice on energy-related matters.

Requirements

  • Law degree and admission to practice in Spain.
  • 8+ years of experience in the legal department of an energy multinational company, with experience in a top-tier law firm valued.
  • Multijurisdictional experience, including US law, will be valued.
  • Fluent in business English, with other languages also valued.
