Job Title: Postdoctoral Researcher Evaluation of AI Systems and Applications in Health

At the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), we are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our Social Link Analytics unit. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team focused on analyzing data related to biology and medicine, with a specific emphasis on evaluating the impact of AI systems and applications in the health sector.

About the Role:
  • Lead project development efforts related to disinformation, focusing on health and climate change narratives.
  • Develop and conduct technical research on innovative tools to evaluate the influence and repercussions of disinformation disseminated through social media platforms.
  • Implement research approaches in LLM applications within the field of disinformation.
  • Support the Life Sciences department projects and proposals with the interdisciplinary development of social and technical understanding of the spread of disinformation on social networks.
  • Manage part of the group's relationships with other institutions of interest (both public and private).
  • Manage students in an efficient work environment.
  • Write, participate and present national funding proposals and European funding Horizon calls.
About the Team:

The Social Link Analytics unit is dedicated to analyzing data related to biology and medicine, aiming to evaluate their impact on scientific advancement. Our team is particularly interested in the strengths and lived experiences of women and underrepresented groups to help us avoid perpetuating biases and oversights in science and IT research.

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented individual with a strong background in AI, health, and data analysis. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
