Postdoctoral Researcher in Battery Management Systems

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) as a postdoctoral researcher in the field of battery management systems. The successful candidate will work with a team of experienced researchers to develop and implement AI-based techniques for battery management systems, leveraging high-performance computing and numerical methods.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement AI-based techniques for battery management systems
- Analyze data and connect it to digital twins
- Explore physics-based approaches using machine learning and reduced-order modeling
- Couple with HPC solvers
- Optimize accuracy and efficiency of AI approaches to achieve project KPIs
- Participate in project meetings
- Validate numerical results with experimental data
- Education: PhD in computational mechanics, applied mathematics, or a related field
- Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience: Deep knowledge of machine learning methods, high knowledge of deep data structures, and good programming skills in Python
- Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience: Good programming skills in other languages, good knowledge of reinforcement learning libraries
- Competences: Strong analytical skills, fluent English, ability to work independently and within a team
- The position will be located at BSC within the CASE Department
