Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Brokerage Team Leader to join our team at UPS. As a key member of our international business development team, you will be responsible for leading our Brokerage department in Spain, reporting to the Iberia Freight Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational and business management of the Brokerage department in Spain, ensuring seamless execution of our business strategy.
  • Leading a team of 8-10 people, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure their success.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to grow our brokerage business in Spain, identifying new opportunities and partnerships.
  • Supporting our sales force, including customer visits, to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Staying up-to-date with customs regulations and processes, ensuring compliance and optimizing our internal processes.
  • Communicating and liaising with key stakeholders, including local and foreign customers, Customs Authorities, and relevant people and functions within the organization.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Brokerage regulation, process, and procedures, with a strong understanding of the Spanish market.
  • Leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Ability to make decisions, multi-task, and work under pressure, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Goal-oriented, with the ability to work under minimal supervision, and a customer-centric attitude.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Microsoft systems and tools, with a strong understanding of business software and technology.
