Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Specialist to join our team at Ball Corporation. As a key member of our Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Team, you will be responsible for providing technical support for the Occupational Health & Safety function.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and Manage Employee Occupational Exposure Assessment Program: Develop and implement a comprehensive program to assess and mitigate employee exposure to hazardous substances.
  2. Prepare IH Reports and Make Recommendations: Conduct industrial hygiene sampling and analysis, and prepare reports to inform management decisions.
  3. Develop and Implement Health and Safety Programs: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement health and safety programs that meet regulatory requirements and company standards.
  4. Audit and Compliance: Conduct audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  5. Ergonomics Evaluations: Conduct ergonomic evaluations to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
  6. Chemical Review and Approval: Review and approve chemicals purchased for use in the business, and communicate acceptable exposure levels to employees.
  7. EHS Data Management: Manage and analyze EHS data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 7 Years Experience: In Occupational Health & Safety for a large multi-national corporation or large manufacturing operation.
  2. Minimum 5 Years Experience: In Industrial Hygiene.
  3. Experience in Compliance Efforts: Coordinating compliance efforts and responding to regulatory agencies.
  4. Qualifications: Level 6 IOSH/NEBOSH diploma, or a formal Occupational Hygiene qualification.
Demonstrated Skills
  1. Manufacturing Operations: Ability to apply knowledge of manufacturing operations to determine applicable regulations and potential business impacts.
  2. Data Management: Ability to manage and analyze EHS data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  3. Ergonomics and Body Mechanics: Proficient in the review of body mechanics and ergonomics principles affecting employees and operations.
