About the Project**Project Overview:** The Computer Architecture and Operating System group at BSC aims to carry out research on programming models for critical embedded systems. Our work is done in the context of bilateral projects with processor companies and European-funded projects.
**Project Objectives:** The objective of this position is to work on AI solutions for safety-critical systems in the context of the SAFEXPLAIN and EdgeAI-Trust projects. The candidate will work on porting, adapting, and optimizing AI frameworks and case studies onto an NVIDIA Orin platform and an AMD Versal platform.
Key Responsibilities- Integration and benchmarking of DNNs on the NVIDIA Orin and AMD Versal platforms, including the YOLO framework.
- Optimization of the AI software on the Orin and Versal platforms, and benchmarking in the context of ROS2 and other libraries.
- Tuning of the AI framework for performance and accuracy.
- Education: Having a Degree or a Master (or being in the last year) in Electronics, Computer Sciences, or Telecommunications.
- Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience: Some practical experience using AI software, familiarity with basics of accelerators.
- Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience: Knowledge on AI concepts and solutions is welcome. Experience using PyTorch, Keras, and the like is welcome.
- Competences: Problem-solving, pro-active, result-oriented work attitude.
