AECOM Spain is seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Engineer to join our MEP team. As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering fire protection systems for various construction sectors, including industrial, healthcare, education, leisure, aviation, commercial, and defense.
Key Responsibilities
- Design fire detection, fire suppression, and emergency signaling systems equipment and procedures in accordance with governing codes and standards.
- Create fire detection and emergency signaling system design and layout plans, schematics, equipment specifications, supporting design calculations, system narratives, and construction specifications.
- Develop fire suppression system design criteria, specifications, and layouts, preliminary hydraulic calculations, fire pump selection specifications, and fire detection system integration.
- Design special hazard fire protection systems, including aspirating and beam-type smoke detection, video imaging detection, flame detection, suppression system monitoring and control, and smoke control system integration.
- Integrate life safety and building services systems to comply with applicable codes, standards, and system operating objectives.
