Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline; or equivalent professional experience.
- Over 10 years of industry experience in full-stack software development across diverse technologies, languages, and frameworks.
- Ability to make informed decisions across teams, applying various technologies or languages with experience in multiple domains.
- Capable of presenting new technology options to both technical and non-technical audiences, guiding others in making well-informed technology selections.
- Comprehends the systems being developed across EG and how your business unit integrates with them.
- Proficient in understanding and designing highly complex systems.
- Demonstrates the ability to establish standards for operational excellence and code quality across multiple projects.
- Advocates for principles and practices in software design that promote testability and observability.
- Experience in building scalable, distributed cloud-based microservice architectures.
- Strong background in third-party cloud services, particularly Amazon AWS, with UI development experience in React JS being advantageous.
- Effective coaching and leadership abilities, capable of managing engineering projects across a diverse, globally decentralized organization.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical details and challenges to a broad audience.
- Creative problem-solving skills, with a knack for recognizing opportunities for innovation and engaging stakeholders in a strategic vision.
