As a Senior Engineer focusing on Solar Innovation, you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge, data-driven solutions that enhance the management and performance of renewable energy assets.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing strong relationships with clients to understand their market needs and objectives.
  • Integrating DNV's expertise in Solar PV technology into algorithm development and software solutions.
  • Translating innovative algorithms into Python programming.
  • Collaborating closely with software teams to ensure seamless integration of algorithms into product offerings.
  • Engaging in feedback sessions to refine Solar PV algorithms for scalability and ease of implementation.
  • Enhancing GPM's product offerings through effective communication and deployment of analytical solutions to our customer base.

This position offers a unique opportunity to build valuable professional networks. You will collaborate with colleagues from DNV Energy Systems Renewables Advisory and GPM's Product Team to align the development and maintenance of solutions with our strategic goals. Additionally, you will interact with industry partners to share insights, identify collaborative opportunities, and advocate for standardization in solutions.

You will be part of the Domain Knowledge team within the Innovation department, dedicated to creating digital tools that empower our clients to optimize asset operations. Our mission is to innovate and disrupt the industry with premier solutions and breakthrough opportunities, leveraging data analytics alongside the technical expertise of DNV Energy Systems.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in the PV sector, with a strong grasp of solar technology through asset management, performance analysis, or operations & maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Experience in analyzing SCADA or Solar PV data to derive actionable insights for asset stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English with excellent communication skills for conveying complex concepts.

Your ability to foster relationships and build trust will be essential, alongside a strong dedication to safety, quality, and integrity. You should also possess robust influencing and technical skills, recognizing that innovation often arises from learning through challenges.
