About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Multimedia Developer to join our team at Igalia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and reliable playback of media across our software stack.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain multimedia software components, including video players and firmware.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless integration of media playback functionality.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members, both locally and remotely.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our software.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in browser engines, multimedia libraries, and related technologies.
Requirements
  • Strong programming skills, with experience in languages such as Rust and C.
  • Familiarity with browser engines, multimedia libraries (e.g., GStreamer), and related technologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with embedded systems and multimedia formats is a plus.
