Responsibilities

About the Team

We are a dynamic team of bioinformaticians, engineers, software developers, and biologists working together to advance genomic data management, analysis, and interpretation. Our team is integrated with the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG), a leading international biomedical research institute.

Requirements

  1. A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Systems-related position, preferably as a System Administrator Engineer
  2. Hands-on experience with system programming languages like Bash, golang, or similar
  3. Understanding of network systems and distributed computing
  4. Knowledge of databases, including Postgres, Elasticsearch, and Cassandra
  5. Experience with source control systems like git

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience with genomics and clinical data
  2. Experience with workflow orchestrators like Jenkins pipeline, Nextflow, Airflow, Prefect, Snakemake, etc.
  3. Experience with pipeline orchestrators like Kubernetes, Docker Swarm
  4. Experience with security best practices

Education and Training

- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields

Languages

- Good spoken and written English

Competences

- Good organizational, prioritizing, communication, and interpersonal skills
