About the Role
Orca As is seeking a highly skilled Lead React Native Developer to join our team. As a key member of our Front End Team, you will be responsible for building state-of-the-art user interfaces and chart rendering systems for our navigation products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop world-class UI and UX experiences end-to-end
- Solve complex challenges related to the rendering of marine charts
- Handle WiFi and Bluetooth communication with our navigation peripherals
- Gracefully handle offline, online, and flaky connectivity scenarios
- Build mechanisms to collect behavioral data from our users
- Develop algorithms and functionality to assist with navigation, such as collision avoidance
- Empathize with, and deeply understand our end-users
Requirements
- 5+ years of developer experience building great consumer-facing applications
- Proficient in TypeScript and React Native, with knowledge of Java, Kotlin, Objective-C, or Swift
- Familiar with general GIS concepts, PostGIS, and Mapbox stack
- Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to plan, architect, and build complex experiences end-to-end promptly
- Dedicated and ethical approach
