Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Alk Abello Spa. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our calibration system and providing technical support to the Maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the calibration system, ensuring compliance with annual calibration plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate with external contractors to perform maintenance and calibration tasks, taking into account production plans.
  • Propose improvements to the calibration system and develop reporting KPIs for calibrations.
  • Support the Maintenance department with preventive maintenance systems and work on the CMMS system (Blue Mountain) for calibrations.
  • Collaborate with the Project department on new projects, particularly those related to instruments and calibrations.
  • Author, review, revise, or approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and deviations or change controls as required.
  • Stay up-to-date on developments in calibration and ALK standards.
  • Work effectively with managers to execute organizational policies and goals.
  • Initiate plans and processes to minimize manufacturing costs through efficient use of resources.
  • Interface with users, peers, and management to ensure input and integration of local and corporate standards.
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Electrical) or other technical degrees (physics, mathematics, etc.).
  • At least 3 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry or similar industries (food, micro components, etc.).
  • Experience with Pharmaceutical Maintenance and calibration practices.
  • Good software usage skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and related software applications.
  • Root cause analysis knowledge and proven ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Demonstrated time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Functional knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and lean maintenance methodologies.
