**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Container Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our DevOps-organized team, you will be responsible for designing and operating our hybrid container platform based on Kubernetes. You will work closely with our internal business partners and DevOps teams to provide specialized expertise and guidance on assessing risks, identifying potential gaps, and providing security solutions to mitigate risk and protect our environment.

**Responsibilities**

  • Design and operate our hybrid container platform based on Rancher/Kubernetes (on-premise/Azure/AWS/Aliyun).
  • Consult with internal business partners and DevOps teams to find suitable container solutions for their requirements and integrate them into the BASF application landscape.
  • Develop and implement security solutions for container clusters in our hybrid cloud environment (Azure, AWS, private cloud) considering digital trends like Zero Trust and DevSecOps.
  • Assess the infrastructure against different security regulatory, industry, and internal standards and identify and implement necessary security architecture requirements.
  • Identify weaknesses within the IT infrastructure at an early stage and find ways for optimization.
  • Implement and maintain platform services within BASF's IT service management processes in collaboration with other involved teams, applying automation to enable efficient process handling.
  • Manage various dependencies within the organization.

**Requirements**

  • Degree in business computer science, natural sciences, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in Kubernetes cluster administration and management (ideally Rancher or comparable solutions), preferably in a hybrid environment.
  • Deep understanding of security requirements and solutions for container orchestration & lifecycle requirements and experience with products such as NeuVector, Qualys.
