About the Role

Mentor Technical Group is seeking a highly skilled EHS Consultant to join our team. As a world leader in life science engineering and technical solutions, we provide comprehensive support and solutions for the FDA-regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support incident investigations and root cause analyses to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and apply risk-reduction strategies to mitigate process safety risk.
  • Develop and implement approaches to safety and occupational health issues, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct weekly safety talks and trainings, and support site EHS staff with near miss identification, reporting, and tracking.
  • Assess personal protection equipment and ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and occupational health policies (ISO 45001 & ISO).
  • Lead the Contractor's EHS Qualification Program and coordinate internal audits to assess systems and process efficiency.
  • Assist management in conducting risk assessments, hazard assessments, and recommending solutions to identified hazards.
  • Conduct EHS management of change evaluations and assessments, and take projects requiring basic knowledge of safety from risk identification to implementation of control measures.
  • Conduct routine and non-routine EHS inspections, issue reports, and follow up on recommended corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering.
  • Minimum of five years of related experience in Medical Devices & Diagnostics, Pharmaceutical, and/or Consumer industry.
Working Environment
  • The employee will frequently work in a fast-paced environment, with regular exposure to equipment, tools, and controls. The employee may lift and/or move up to 25-35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • The employee may work in various weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and an odorous atmosphere, with occasional exposure to fumes and electrical shock.
