Job Title: Postdoctoral Position
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral researcher to join our team at IMDEA Nanociencia. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in the field of supramolecular systems chemistry, with a focus on dissipative supramolecular polymer bundles.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and conduct microfluidic experiments to quantify the dynamics of single fibers consisting of supramolecular polymers.
- Use fast X-Ray super-resolution microscopy techniques to study the structure and properties of supramolecular polymers.
- Characterize supramolecular polymers using techniques such as nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), mass spectrometry (MS) coupled with liquid or gas chromatography (LC-MS, and GC-MS), infrared spectrometry (IR), and elemental analysis (EA) and super-resolution imaging techniques.
- Lab-scale prototyping and development of new materials and techniques.
- Supervise PhD and MSc students and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Work closely with the principal investigator and team members to maintain a high level of scientific productivity.
- Prepare, present, and report research results and publish scientific results in key peer-reviewed journals.
Requirements:
- PhD Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or related fields.
- Solid background in light-driven systems and supramolecular chemistry.
- Hands-on experience in lab-scale prototyping and development of new materials and techniques.
- A committed team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
