About the Role

This is a key position within our operations team, responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our sites and meeting customer demand. As an Area Manager, you will lead a team that focuses on maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-quality operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead a Culture of Safety and Wellbeing: Create and drive a culture that prioritizes the safety and wellbeing of our team members.
  2. Improve Quality and Productivity: Analyze and implement changes to maintain high-quality and productivity levels across our operations.
  3. Streamline Processes: Oversee projects to optimize processes, increase productivity, and enhance the quality of service for our customers.
  4. Analyze and Improve Shift Performance: Analyze shift performance against business objectives and implement actions to improve operational excellence.
  5. Collaborate with Management: Work with management-level colleagues to standardize shift practices and ensure consistency across our operations.
A Day in the Life

You will work on a shift pattern at one of our sites, focusing on maintaining a productive and efficient operational environment. Your responsibilities will include leading a team, managing daily operational tasks, and driving process improvements. You will also be a role model and mentor to new managers, helping to develop their skills and knowledge.

About the Team

Our operations team is responsible for handling 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilize creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to deliver millions of physical products to our customers. Our goal is to provide a seamless delivery experience and roll out global delivery solutions for our newest concepts.

Basic Qualifications
  1. A degree in a relevant field.
  2. Relevant experience in people management and leadership.
  3. Experience in communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
  4. Ability to use data and anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.
  5. Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and local language.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience working with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques.
  2. Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite in a professional environment.
