In October 2022, Bunge, a prominent producer of plant-based oils, and Olleco, the renewables division of ABP Food Group and the UK's leading collector of used cooking oil, formed a 50/50 joint venture known as Olleco Bunge, which encompasses the complete lifecycle of edible oils.
The solutions and services we provide tackle environmental and energy security challenges across key European markets, enabling our clients to operate in a more sustainable manner.
- We offer a variety of high-quality, sustainable cooking oils.
- We collect used cooking oil, which is transformed into premium biofuels for transportation.
- We assist food companies in transitioning to a circular economy.
- Biodiesel derived from used cooking oils achieves significantly greater greenhouse gas reductions.
ROLE DESCRIPTION OF MERGERS & ACQUISITIONS ANALYST:
- Oversee and refresh the M&A pipeline with new acquisition prospects and track progress on ongoing projects.
- Assist in identifying potential opportunities aligned with the Joint Venture's strategic objectives.
- Engage in all stages of the transaction process, including preliminary due diligence analysis, modeling, letters of intent, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, legal documentation, and integration planning.
- Evaluate financial data and statements, preparing models to assess the feasibility of acquisition targets, including potential synergies.
- Develop and manage the virtual data room, coordinating with external advisors and internal integration teams on data room material preparation and collection.
- Draft investment proposals for Board approvals and Executive Committees.
- Support central functions in creating integration plans, conducting site visits, and generating reports.
- Assist in monitoring investment performance: actual versus budget.
The successful candidate will report directly to the M&A Director of Europe, gaining exposure to the entire M&A lifecycle.
REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related discipline / professional qualification.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (minimum B2 level).
- Previous experience in a deal environment, ideally within a Corporate M&A function, Private Equity, Corporate Finance / M&A in an investment bank / Big 4, or Transaction Services in a leading professional services firm.
- Understanding of accounting principles and concepts.
- Proficient in Excel financial modeling.
- Strong project management and organizational capabilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to travel as required.
