Key ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Software Development Manager will be responsible for:
- Strategic Planning and Setup: Establishing our nearshoring office, ensuring seamless integration with our existing teams, and collaborating with stakeholders to define the center's mission, goals, and KPIs.
- Talent Acquisition and Management: Identifying top-tier frontend and backend developers, building and leading a high-performing development team, and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Technical Leadership: Guiding the team in frontend and backend development best practices, ensuring high-quality code, scalability, and maintainability, and collaborating with architects and product owners to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Process Optimization: Implementing agile methodologies and efficient workflows, monitoring performance metrics, and optimizing processes for productivity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, including leadership roles, as well as experience in working in projects with multiple SCRUM teams.
- People Skills: Excellent communication, team-building, and mentoring abilities.
- Results-Driven: Passionate about achieving business outcomes through technology.
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity and comfort with the local culture, business environment, and regulations is a big advantage.
- English: Required.
- Valid Work Permit: For Portugal.
