At Veriff, we're pushing the boundaries of online identity verification, and we're looking for a seasoned Director of Engineering and Innovation to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering division, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our product enablement initiatives and elevating our organizational maturity and reliability.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with our Product team to deliver end-to-end world-class products, impacting our growth and the digital world.
- Recruit, inspire, and develop top talent, fostering highly engaged teams with a focus on psychological safety, ambition, and accountability.
- Drive relentlessly for operational excellence, building trust through the availability and quality of our service, managing risks, and addressing tech debt promptly.
- Build leverage through your thoughtful platform strategy and enablement through continuous feedback loops across Engineering.
- Maintain productivity and engagement by monitoring roadmaps, metrics, and delivery predictability, while aligning objectives across Product Engineering with the company's mission.
- Contribute to Product & Engineering strategy, translating it into actionable plans, and collaborating with leadership to communicate and implement it effectively.
- Drive transparency on engineering investments' returns, operational excellence, product delivery efficiency, and impact on business objectives.
- Stay updated on technology trends, including AI, and effectively steer technical conversations.
- Prepare the organization to scale without compromising productivity or engagement.
**Requirements**
- Experience navigating the challenges of a scale-up environment.
- Proficiency in establishing end-to-end product development processes with a special focus on developer (and engineering manager) experience.
- A proven track record in adding 9s to the availability SLOs supporting the business.
- Demonstrated ability to influence C-level executives.
- Proven track record of building highly engaged teams that drive tangible results.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to inspire a wide audience.
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to thrive in uncertain environments.
