Company Overview: As a leading luxury hotel, Hotel Mandarin Oriental Barcelona is committed to providing exceptional service to our guests. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pbx Operator to join our team.

Job Summary: The Pbx Operator will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our guests, handling incoming and outgoing calls, and maintaining a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  2. Call Handling: Handle incoming and outgoing calls, ensuring that all calls are answered promptly and efficiently.
  3. Switchboard Operations: Maintain a high level of professionalism in the switchboard area, ensuring that all calls are handled in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  5. Emergency Procedures: Be familiar with all emergency procedures, including bomb threats, ambulance, police, and doctor calls.
  6. Reporting: Report any telephone, internet, TV system, and facsimile faults to the Manager, Supervisors, or Service Company.
  7. Training: Assist the Front Desk Manager in training operators and be willing to cross-train and assist in reception and concierge as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Previous Experience: Previous service experience in a luxury hotel is required.
  2. Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal command of Spanish, Catalan, and English is required.
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent overall communication skills are required.
  4. Flexibility: Flexible schedules and hours, with a willingness to work on weekends, are required.
