About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Guidewire Senior Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our consulting or implementation team, you will work on IT projects for financial institutions, primarily insurance companies. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating larger, Agile implementation projects or acting as an independent leader of a project area
  • Leading complex business analysis, defining functional requirements, designing solutions, and mentoring less experienced team members
  • Acting as a team leader, Product Owner, Scrum Master, or business architect as needed by the project
  • Supervising analytical works across multiple teams on a project
  • Building lasting relationships with clients' key personnel and leadership
  • Working closely with software developers and IT architects on a daily basis
  • Leading your own area in the company, supported by an experienced supervisor
  • Supporting B2B sales activities

About the Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in IT projects for the financial sector, preferably insurance or bancassurance in an international environment
  • At least 4 years of experience in Guidewire systems implementation
  • Understanding of how insurance companies or banks work, having comprehensive, in-depth understanding of relevant processes and business models
  • Experience in the functional design of IT solutions and running IT implementations
  • Ability to ensure quality of the deliverables of your team, by applying analytical thinking and synthesis skills
  • Ability to demonstrate team management skills and take responsibility for team results
  • Ability to work in Spain and the European Union on a full-time basis
  • At least a bachelor's degree
  • Great command of English and Spanish language, being fully confident collaborating with English native speakers

  • Experience working in implementation-related or strategic consulting, especially in the fields of insurance or bancassurance
  • Ability to build lasting and positive relationships with client stakeholders and C-Level representatives
  • Good knowledge of German or French
