About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Nuclear Engineer to join our team at W Electric Spain Sau. As a key member of our Radiation Engineering & Analysis group, you will play a critical role in supporting the design and analysis of Pressurized Water Reactors (PWRs) and other advanced reactor designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead specific scopes on large commercial nuclear and decommissioning projects
  • Perform neutron transport calculations in and around the reactor vessel
  • Review plant drawings and build transport models
  • Conduct fluence, activation, heating rate, and dosimetry calculations
  • Critically analyze results and produce technical documentation
  • Support radiation source term calculations and post-irradiation compositions using ORIGEN
  • Provide licensing support for the Decontamination & Decommissioning (D&D) of retiring plants
  • Perform radiation shielding calculations and decay heat analysis
  • Support operating Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs) with accident evaluation and set-point calculations for liquid and gaseous effluents monitors
  • Contribute to radiation protection efforts
Requirements
  • BS or MS in Nuclear Engineering (or similar) required
  • 5+ years applicable experience
  • English-language skills: B2 (verbal) and C1 (written)
  • Spanish-language skills: B2 (verbal) and C1 (written)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Linux, programming, and computational simulation
  • Experience with relevant computer codes (MCNP, SCALE, etc.)
