Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety and Health Supervisor to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) at Hatch. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the entire process of obtaining work permits, including reviewing requests, conducting inspections, issuing permits, and ensuring compliance with permit conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and authorize Work Permits
  • Develop and update all procedures, instructions, protocols, records, and forms related to Work Permits
  • Ensure all parties follow all procedures and requirements related to Work Permits
  • Guarantee that all permits are issued in a timely manner while maintaining compliance with industrial safety, occupational health, and environmental protection (HSE) requirements
  • Coordinate with contractors/subcontractors on site during the entire permit process
  • Ensure field checks and pre-task conversations are conducted through audits and inspections
  • Ensure all possible site interferences are managed through Work Permits
  • Update the Work Permit Board, including Fatal Risk Management, as needed
  • Communicate with project management on the status of permit requests and respond to questions about the permit process
  • Verify the suitability of project personnel, promoting necessary actions to achieve objectives
