Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Database Specialist to join our Database team for a banking project that has just started. In this position, you will have the opportunity to learn and work with various databases, as well as participate in cloud projects or projects that will migrate to the cloud. You will be responsible for managing and administering the physical and technical aspects of database systems, including defining databases, structure, documentation, long-term requirements, operational guidelines, etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer database systems, including defining databases, structure, documentation, long-term requirements, operational guidelines, etc.
- Install and maintain database systems, install updates and patches, manage and monitor performance and capacity, and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Propose and implement improvements that will improve system performance and reliability.
- Interact with internal or external clients to understand and meet requirements for delivery of database-related services.
Requirements
- Experience working with SQL Server databases.
- Preferred experience with DB2 LUWS, Sybase.
- Pre-university qualification.
- Preferred education: Bachelor's degree.
